Join new faculty member Thomas Maltman as he talks about intersections between research and the imagination. He’ll explore the writing process that guided him through his first novel, The Night Birds, and will read excerpts, describing the story-behind-the-story for selected scenes. Research, insight, the politics of history, and creative vision will all be covered from a first-time novelist’s perspective.

Join author Thomas Maltman as he talks about the inspiration and the writing process for his 2008 Alex Award-winning book, The Night Birds.
